Evening and weekend appointments are now available across Bexhill
A range of appointments are available on weekday evenings and weekends for people registered with a GP practice in Bexhill.
The ‘enhanced access’ service provides access to pre-bookable appointments outside of normal practice hours to ensure that people can get the right care when convenient for them. A range of services are available including routine appointments, blood tests, screenings and more.
You can pre-book appointments with the enhanced access service through your own GP practice, either by requesting one online, calling or visiting during normal opening hours.
The service is run by Bexhill PCN with the following services available Monday to Friday, 6.30pm–8pm and Saturday, 8.30am–5pm:
- General practice routine appointments
- Menopause and HRT reviews
- Sexual health (including smear or coil fitting)
- Blood tests
- Blood pressure checks
You may be offered a telephone appointment or a face to face appointment.
We have a team of clinicians who support this service which means your appointment may not be with a GP. It could be with a:
- GP
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner
- Nurse
- Clinical Pharmacsist
- Care Coordinator
- Healthcare Assistant
- Menopause Advisor
- Social Prescriber

We know that general practice is still seeing high numbers of patients seeking care, and we acknowledge our residents’ busy lifestyles, so we’re pleased to be able to offer these appointments to fit around people’s lives.”

Outside of office hours or at weekends, anyone who needs to book an urgent appointment should continue to get in touch using the NHS 111 service.
