Minor Injury Units and Urgent Treatment Centres are open to help this Easter

Please make the right choice

The NHS is calling on people to remember that Minor Injury Units and Urgent Treatment Centres are available to help them over the next two weeks.

It comes as part of the message to the public to ensure people can get the help they need during the Easter weekend and junior doctor industrial action.

There are MIUs and UTCs in Bognor Regis, Crowborough, Crawley, Horsham, Lewes and Uckfield – see their opening hours and how to get to them here; Get the right care – Sussex Health and Care (ics.nhs.uk)

People can walk in and get on the day help for fractures, wounds, sprains and strains, bites and stings, and cuts and grazes.

Over the Easter period, Emergency Departments should only be used for life-saving, time critical care. Donna Lamb, Chief Nurse at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust explains the help the MIUs and UTCs can offer.
